On June 29, 2026, clashes erupted in the Hardpanzoo area of Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir, during a Muharram procession.
The conflict involved members of the Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association and followers of Maulana Masroor Abbas Ansari.
In response to the violence, police have taken action by lodging a First Information Report.
